silent tears that run down my face as i type this message.

this message that could be a voice for somebody else.

somebody else that’s afraid they don’t have a voice.

a voice so soft, yet so powerful.

so powerful because there’s meaning, there’s volume, there’s emotion.

emotion that goes unnoticed.

unnoticed because it’s not the emotion of everybody else.

everybody else trying to be like every-body-else... but themselves.

what if the mask symbolizes silence?

what if the mask symbolizes you can’t breathe?

you can’t breathe because you stood up for yourself.

you knew your rights.

you had power without a deadly weapon.

you were innocent.

you had a future so bright that it was intimidating.

you had silent tears, while they have silent years.

there’s no remorse.

there’s no guilt.

there’s no shame.

yet they still getting paid.

no more tears because you’re breathless.

now take your masks off because we can’t stop til you get justice.
